homercles cares not for beans

Our van died. I'm fine with that. Because when you have to drive back and forth between two schools and your house multiple times in one morning and then your car breaks down RIGHT AFTER all the crazy errands RIGHT IN FRONT of one of your best friend's houses and she can drive you back home so you can drive your third car and not be stranded, and then the towing charge is ridiculous but you know you are very lucky to be in a position where when you are in trouble like this you have the money to take care of things, and also you got the van for a ridiculous deal and it has served you very well for a good many years - well, you can't help but feel very blessed. Bad things happen, but dagnabit, good things happen too.

Also, the husband kind of likes hunting for deals. It's actually his job. So he's got this adorable crazed hunter face on and I'm just here to nix any odd suggestions. And there are ALWAYS odd suggestions with this one. He once tried to talk me into buying a condo at a waterpark instead of buying a house. In theory, fun, but wet blanket Reva saved us from a life of sharing walls and a ceiling with drunk Dells vacationers.

Anyone have a car they want to sell us?

Patience in afflictions has a way of making big blessings out of the simple things in life. So glad for the string of blessings that added up to one long, beautiful miracle.

Not a car to sell you per se, but if he wants more searching to do, I have a list of things we would prefer to get cheap.

HEAR YE. I need to document the fact that I ran 3 miles and didn't feel like death.  So just to make sure it wasn't a fluke, I did...
